Today, construction elements are manufactured according to the highest technical requirements, but above all according to individual demands on shape, material, equipment and color; i.e. every window is unique and not an off-the-shelf product.
This means that each element has individual product and performance characteristics, which are only created during production. The aim of Biss.ID is to make these properties accessible and usable for all participants and users in the subsequent assembly process and later life cycle.
The digital product passport
The digital product passport is a data set that summarizes the components, materials and chemical substances or information on reparability, spare parts or proper disposal for a product.
The data originates from all phases of the product life cycle and can be used for various purposes in all these phases (manufacture, use, disposal).
The origin of the digital product passport lies in the European Green Deal and the Circular Economy Action Plan of the European Union. The passport is considered an important tool for a climate-friendly, sustainable and resource-conserving market economy.
The digital product passport will be more important for products with a complex composition than for products with few components. This is essential, not least to prevent negative environmental impacts and optimize recycling.

The web-based solution can be accessed via the personal user profile with any internet-enabled device - without software installation - regardless of location.
The APP complements the platform on the smartphone, regardless of ANDROID or IOS devices.

The web client offers the possibility to manage and maintain all data on the platform and to view the details of products and customers.

The BISS.ID APP provides fast, mobile access to the data. Actions, reports, photos and much more can be called up and created.

" Glas ID
A unique ID can be assigned during the production of the insulating glass and inserted in the cavity between the panes.
This glass ID forms the basis for the subsequent networking of all further process steps. This allows the window manufacturer, the fitter and later other trades to link their data for maximum transparency.
All data is available to the end customer and all those involved in the process, depending on authorization.
" Window ID
The window ID can be attached to windows or doors and linked to the production data record.
This option can be used as an alternative to the glass ID or to supplement it for components without glass.
The window ID can also be used for retrofitting and for recording elements that have already been installed.
